Popular culture highlights the glamor of being on Fifth Ave. Innumerable comedies and musicals feature Fifth as the prime destination or the setting for its characters, from It Happened on Fifth to Easter Parade. Perhaps most famously, Audrey Hepburn’s memorable turn at Breakfast at Tiffany’s Holly Golightly emphasizes the glamor of ogling the fancy baubles of Tiffany’s flagship store on Fifth Avenue.
