RiseNY is a three-part, one-of-a-kind experience located on 45th Street, just steps from Times Square.
The journey at RiseNY begins as you enter a replica of New York’s first City Hall subway station and watch our film exploring the history of New York City— from the origins of Times Square and beyond. Immerse yourself with visual and special effects to travel back in time, with the voice of Hollywood actor Jeff Goldblum to guide you.
At the film’s conclusion, you’ll explore the best of New York City’s pop culture and history, through our 7 immersive galleries covering Finance, Skyline, TV/Radio, Fashion, Music, Broadway, and Film with historical artifacts, costumes and star-studded memorabilia co-curated by leading museums.
To cap off your experience, you’ll fly over New York and experience a year of celebrations in our great city. Our stunning, 4D flying ride gives you a taste of classic events throughout New York's five boroughs, such as the 4th of July Fireworks on the East River and the New Year’s Eve ball drop in Times Square. See it all from a unique bird’s eye view and experience NYC like never before!
RiseNY is open daily starting at 10am. Hours vary by day, but our typical hours are:

Guests who purchase our General Admission tickets, as well as any group reservations, do need to arrive at their selected time.
For guests who purchase VIP admission tickets, you may arrive anytime for the selected admission date!
Guests are also welcome to visit our box office to purchase tickets, and enter the experience that same day pending availability.
There is a 40” (1 meter) height requirement to ride the RiseNY ride, but visitors of all ages are welcome to enjoy the NYC pop culture history experience leading up to the ride.
RiseNY's ride can hold a maximum of 260 pounds (118kg) per seat if every seat is occupied, and the seats are 19 inches wide. If anyone in your party is at or above 260 pounds, please have them inform our staff prior to seatbelt safety check and we can adjust seating on the ride accordingly to accommodate.
Because the ride features strobe lights, loud sounds, wind, and scents, we don’t recommend it for people with sensitivity to sensory experiences. However, NYC’s pop culture evolution experience leading up to the ride should be fun for all members of your party!
You must be able to properly wear the provided seatbelt and remain independently seated upright throughout the ride. Prosthetic devices must be secured, removed, or stored to prevent injuries to other participants. Certain hand, arm, leg, and joint elements may be required to participate.
The ride area is wheelchair accessible. Our team members are more than happy to help with specific questions and accommodations; however, they are not permitted to assist in transferring you on and off the ride. Those familiar with your condition, such as a family member, can assist. In case of any emergency or ride evacuation where you might require extra help or assistance, we ask that you be accompanied by someone who knows the best way to lift or carry you to ensure a safe evacuation.
In accordance with industry safety standards, we do not recommend the ride for expectant mothers.
You are absolutely welcome to take photos in the exhibition experience!
Throughout our galleries we have many photo opportunities, and photos not only allowed, but encouraged throughout the experience!
During the ride, however, for safety reasons, we don’t allow cell phones or cameras on the ride. For your convenience, there are free cubbies where you can store your belongings while you ride.

Yes - we want everyone experiencing RiseNY to be comfortable and have fun, so if the ride isn’t for you, you can pass by it.
While 60-90 minutes is an approximate timeframe for most visitors, all guests are free to move at their own pace through our immersive museum galleries. The RiseNY experience includes a short film, followed by the galleries, and is capped off with our soaring ride!
